Lieutenant General of the Russian Armed Forces was severely wounded
Lieutenant General of the Russian Armed Forces Asadulla Abachev was severely wounded.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the incident occurred in one of the border regions.
This was officially announced by the head of Dagestan, Sergey Melikov.
"A few days ago, our fellow countryman, Hero of Russia Asadulla Abachev was severely wounded while in one of the border regions," he noted.
The head of Dagestan also added that the general is currently undergoing treatment at one of the country's best military medical centers.
For reference, we note that in one of the reports of the Russian Ministry of Defense for 2024, it was indicated that Abachev holds the position of Deputy Commander of the Leningrad Military District.
In 2022, he was awarded the title of Hero of Russia.
