World 0

Ukraine attempted to attack Russian President Vladimir Putin's residence in Novgorod Oblast with drones on the night of December 29.

As BAKU.WS reports with reference to TASS, this was announced to journalists by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

According to him, the Ukrainian side used 91 long-range drones.

"All unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by the air defense systems of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. No data on casualties or damage from the UAV debris has been received," Lavrov said.

According to the Russian Foreign Minister, Ukraine's actions will not go unanswered, with targets for retaliatory strikes and their timing already determined. Lavrov also noted that Russia's negotiating position will be revised after the Ukrainian attack on the president's residence, though Moscow does not plan to withdraw from peace negotiations.
