According to the latest recorded data (July 30, 2025), the city of Omidiyeh in Iran's Khuzestan province, with a temperature of 51°C, took first place as the hottest spot on the planet over the past 24 hours.
This is reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Telegram channel "Free Iran".
Among the 15 hottest regions in the world, four are Iranian cities: Omidiyeh, Abadan, Ahvaz, and Dezful (Safiabad).
The continued heat in the region may threaten public health, water and electricity supply, as well as daily activities.
Residents are advised to avoid being outdoors during the hot hours of the day.
