In Iran, Ukraine was called a legitimate target for attacks
Ukraine has become a legitimate target for Iran's armed forces after Kyiv supported Israel.
This was stated by Ebrahim Azizi, chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy and National Security of Iran's parliament.
"By providing support to the Israeli regime with UAVs, Ukraine has effectively become involved in the war and, under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, has turned its entire territory into a legitimate target for Iran," he wrote on X.
On February 28, the United States and Israel launched a military operation against Iran. Major Iranian cities, including Tehran, were struck. The White House justified the attack by citing missile and nuclear threats allegedly emanating from Tehran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a large-scale retaliatory operation, striking targets in Israel. US facilities in Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia were also attacked. As a result of the strikes on Iran, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several other key figures of the Islamic Republic's leadership were killed.
