Great Britain imposes sanctions against Iran
Britain has imposed sanctions on 71 individuals and legal entities connected with Iran, as part of efforts to contain Tehran's nuclear program.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Telegram channel "Free Iran," the restrictions affect high-ranking representatives of Iran's nuclear sector, as well as key financial and energy structures of the country.
The new sanctions include asset freezes, financial restrictions, and entry bans for those on the list.
London's decision followed similar measures taken by the UN and EU. Earlier, the global organization reinstated an arms embargo on Iran and a number of other restrictions.
Iranian authorities have warned that any such steps would be met with "retaliatory measures."
