Former head of the State Revenue Committee detained in Armenia
In Armenia, the ex-head of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) Vardan Harutyunyan has been detained.
As reported by BAKU.WS, information about the detention of the "former high-ranking SRC official" was confirmed to Sputnik Armenia by the Anti-Corruption Committee.
The department noted that he is accused of illegal entrepreneurial activity, anti-competitive practices, and money laundering.
Currently, the Anti-Corruption Court is considering a petition for Harutyunyan's arrest.
It should be noted that Vardan Harutyunyan headed the tax department in 2016-2018, and before that was the general director of "Gazprom Armenia".
