The head coach of "Sabah" commented on the defeat against "Viking"

"Sabah" prepared well for the away match against Norwegian "Viking".

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by the head coach of the Azerbaijani team Valdas Dambrauskas at the press conference after the UEFA Champions League general stage match.

The specialist commented on his team's defeat.

"This is the Champions League, and every match here is difficult. We came to Norway very well prepared. In the first half, the game was absolutely even. Both teams managed to capitalize on their scoring chances. In the second half, the game became more open. The opponent outperformed us in individual duels. In such matches, special attention must be paid to speed," he said.

Dambrauskas noted that even after the sending off of one of the "Sabah" players, the team continued to compete with the opponent on equal terms.

"Unfortunately, the conceded goal led us to defeat. Although even with a man down, we played well. As I already said, this is the Champions League, and the level here is completely different. Even a small mistake can lead to a conceded goal," the coach emphasized.
