For the attention of applicants: yet another university will open "Law" and "Medicine" programs

Sumgayit State University (SSU) plans to open "Law" and "Medicine" specialties.

As reported by AzEdu.az, the university's rector Nurali Yusifbeyli stated this.

He noted that SSU holds the status of a classical state university, and therefore work is underway to expand the range of specialties.

According to the rector, the opening of new specialties at SSU is envisaged taking into account the experience of Nakhchivan State University in training personnel in the relevant fields.

"In the coming years, it is planned to petition the Ministry of Science and Education to open 'Law' and 'Medicine' specialties at Sumgayit State University. First of all, it is planned to launch training in law, as there are no serious obstacles to this, and the existing infrastructure allows for the admission of students and the organization of the educational process.

This is also very important for the region. Along with the Absheron-Khizi area, the Guba-Khachmaz economic region, with a population of over 1.2 million people, occupies a significant place in our geography. In addition, we are thinking about opening specialties in the field of agriculture in the region.

This year, we submitted documents to the ministry for organizing training in two new specialties — 'Data Analytics' and 'Software Engineering.' I expect that starting from the next academic year, SSU will already begin training in both fields," N. Yusifbeyli stated.
