Famous businessman married a cleaner and left her 43 million pounds

The former cleaner of a famous British businessman won a court case against his son, securing an inheritance of 43 million pounds.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Daily Mirror, Richard Scott, who was 81 years old, passed away in 2018. He became famous in Great Britain as an organizer of large fairs where people sold unwanted items directly from the trunks of their cars. The most well-known sales took place at his farm in Cheshire, where Scott also filmed a reality show about his business. In 2016, the entrepreneur, who had 19 children, married his cleaner Jennifer.
After the wedding, he excluded his favorite son Adam from the will, leaving the majority of his estate to his wife. At the beginning of 2025, Adam filed a lawsuit, claiming that his father suffered from a brain disease and was not aware of his actions when changing the will. The 62-year-old man, who is two years older than his stepmother, stated that he had worked in the family business for many years and his father had promised to leave everything to him.
However, Jennifer's lawyers insisted that despite his illness, Richard Scott clearly understood what he was doing. They emphasized that the relationship between father and son had deteriorated, and these conflicts were the reason for the change in the will. Additionally, Adam had already received property worth over 10 million pounds.
In the end, the court ruled in Jennifer's favor. It is also reported that of Richard Scott's 19 children, only three are mentioned in the will.
