Elon Musk unveiled a flying car

American company Tesla demonstrated the electric sports car Roadster, capable of lifting into the air, overcoming obstacles, and performing flips. During the presentation, the vehicle showed unusual maneuvers reminiscent of stunts from science fiction films.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to "Gazeta.Ru," the presentation of the new model took place at the SpaceX test site in the U.S. state of Texas. A video recording of the event was published on the social network X.

The main feature of the updated Roadster was a system of special nozzles that release compressed gas. Thanks to this technology, the vehicle can lift off the surface and control its position in the air.

During the demonstration, viewers were shown a video of the electric car's tests. In the footage, the car flew over an obstacle while performing a flip around its axis, and also drove up a curved ramp and jumped off it.

The developers also demonstrated impressive dynamic performance characteristics of the sports car. According to the presented data, the Roadster is capable of accelerating from a standstill to 60 miles per hour (approximately 97 km/h) in just 0.81 seconds.

The start of mass production of the electric sports car is planned for 2028.

It was previously reported that Tesla recalled more than 46 thousand Cybertruck electric pickups due to an issue with the attachment of an exterior body panel that could detach during operation.
