Baku hosts international conference on inclusive employment

On October 15, an international conference dedicated to the field of inclusive employment was held in Baku.

As reported by AZERTAC, the 1st International Conference on Inclusive Employment, which brought together renowned experts, government agencies, international organizations, private sector representatives, academic circles, and civil society institutions from various countries around the world, became one of Azerbaijan's most large-scale international platforms aimed at strengthening the integration of persons with autism and other disabilities into the labor market.

The main goal of the conference is to promote the application of international experience in the field of inclusive employment in Azerbaijan, expand cooperation between the state and private sector, educate employers on creating an accessible and inclusive work environment, as well as contribute to increasing sustainable employment opportunities for persons with autism and other disabilities.

Renowned specialists from Ireland, France, Turkey, and other countries participated in the conference. At the event, leading government agencies and private sector representatives of Azerbaijan presented initiatives and successful experiences they have implemented in the field of inclusive employment.

The event was organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Science and Education, the Ministry of Health, the Center for Public Health and Reforms, the Agency for State Support of Non-Governmental Organizations of Azerbaijan, the "Regional Development" Public Association, and the Birgə və Sağlam Public Association.

The general sponsor of the conference is AzerGold CJSC, with sponsors including bp Azerbaijan, Kapital Bank, Azerbaijan Airlines, and AirArabia.

The event is held with the support of the main partner - SOCAR Midstream Gas Operations and partner organizations, the State Employment Agency, and the State Agency for Vocational Education.

On the first day of the International Conference on Inclusive Employment, its official opening ceremony took place. The event then continued its work with panel sessions.

The conference will continue its work on October 16 with various practical training sessions.
