President of Laos: Full membership in CICA imposes great responsibility and obligations on us

The current period and regional and international realities have increased the importance of the Lao people's and state's membership in this organization. Laos has become a new member of CICA.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Thongloun Sisoulith, speaking at the 7th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Baku.

"We can establish mutually beneficial cooperation based on multilateralism, UN charters, and the principles of peaceful coexistence and non-interference in internal affairs. We view CICA as a platform for cooperation. Full membership in CICA places great responsibility and obligations upon us. Today, the world faces serious challenges, and the regional and international security environment is undergoing transformation. Many factors contribute to this," the President of Laos emphasized.
