At the CICA Summit, the President of Azerbaijan spoke about Armenia's occupation policy
President Ilham Aliyev in his speech at the VII CICA summit spoke about Armenia's occupation policy.
As reported by AZERTAC, the head of state said: "For 30 years, approximately 20% of the internationally recognized territory of Azerbaijan was occupied by Armenia. Armenia committed military aggression against Azerbaijan, expelling 1 million Azerbaijanis from their ancestral historical lands in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, as well as from the territory of modern Armenia, and carried out ethnic cleansings. In 1993, the UN Security Council adopted four resolutions demanding the immediate, complete, and unconditional withdrawal of Armenian forces from the occupied territories, but they remained on paper for 30 years. The activities of the OSCE Minsk Group, established in 1992 to resolve this issue, were imitative in nature."
