The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan congratulated Ambassador Sultan Hajiyev on his appointment as Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) for 2026–2030.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated in a publication by the foreign affairs ministry on the social network X.

"We wish him every success in this important position and in advancing the goals of CICA in strengthening dialogue, mutual trust, and cooperation in Asia," the statement reads.
