Eight special forces soldiers killed during protests in Iran
During the protests on January 8 and 9, which turned into riots in Iran, eight servicemen of the special units of the Law Enforcement Command were killed.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated in the Command's distributed statement.
"The servicemen died as a result of an attack by rebels who shot at law enforcement officers, as well as beat them with various objects," the message says.
According to law enforcement agencies, 200 people were arrested in Iran on charges of participating in armed attacks during protest actions; a significant amount of ammunition, weapons, grenades, and Molotov cocktails was found and seized in their hideouts.
