Are changes being made to Ukraine's legislation regarding foreigners?
Four years of military operations in Ukraine have affected the rules of residence and movement of foreigners both in the country itself and in neighboring states. Given that Ukraine and adjacent countries remain among the most popular travel destinations, especially for citizens of former Soviet republics, this issue is becoming even more relevant.
As reported by BAKU.WS, Baku TV looked into the current situation.
The military conflict has also had a serious impact on Ukraine's migration sphere. As experts note, the changes have affected other Eastern European countries as well.
Attorney Shamsi Magarramov commented on this issue.
"We recommend that foreign citizens, primarily Azerbaijanis, ensure that the documents presented at the border when entering Ukraine fully correspond to the purpose of the trip. That is, it must be clearly confirmed where the person is going and for what purpose. For example, if they are going to work, an invitation from a company is required. It is also advisable to obtain a work permit in advance.
If foreigners are already on the territory of Ukraine and the document processing is ongoing, we advise that when obtaining a residence permit, they ensure it is based on actual data. Over time, as a result of inspections by law enforcement agencies, the Migration Service, and the Security Service of Ukraine, many documents are annulled," the lawyer said.
