An unknown drone has been detected at a U.S. Navy base in Italy

An unidentified drone was discovered at a U.S. Naval base in Italy.

As reported by the Stars and Stripes newspaper, precautionary measures were taken immediately after the incident.

According to the publication, Italian law enforcement authorities conducted an inspection and determined that there were no explosives inside the drone and it posed no threat of explosion.

Following this, the military base resumed normal operations.

Law enforcement authorities seized the drone.

An investigation is underway to determine the reasons for the drone's appearance on the base's territory.
