Acting President of Myanmar has died

Acting President of Myanmar Myint Swe has died at the age of 75.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the Chinese news agency "Xinhua" with reference to the National Defense and Security Council of Myanmar.

According to the agency, the politician died on Thursday morning. The cause of death has not been reported.

Recently, Myint Swe had been on health-related leave.

Myint Swe was appointed acting president of Myanmar in February 2021, following a military coup in the country. Prior to this, he had served as vice president for five years.
