The doctor explained who should not have a breakfast of two eggs

People with elevated levels of "bad" cholesterol and cardiovascular diseases should be cautious about the classic breakfast of two eggs, especially if they are cooked in butter and served with bacon or sausage. At the same time, completely eliminating eggs from the diet is not recommended.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to "Gazeta.Ru," this was explained by gastroenterologist and candidate of medical sciences Yevgeny Belousov.
According to the specialist, eggs themselves are not a harmful product. They contain complete protein, fats, vitamins, and minerals. However, their impact on health must be assessed taking into account the entire diet and individual characteristics of the body.
The method of preparation and the products with which eggs are consumed are of particular importance. For example, an omelet with vegetables and whole-grain bread is a more preferable option than a breakfast with bacon, sausage, and a large amount of butter. The latter products are rich in saturated fats, an excess of which can raise LDL levels — low-density lipoproteins associated with the development of atherosclerosis.
The doctor noted that one large egg yolk contains approximately 200 mg of dietary cholesterol. Therefore, people with lipid metabolism disorders need to carefully monitor the number of eggs they consume. In the presence of cardiovascular diseases and other risk factors, dietary specifics should ideally be discussed with a doctor on an individual basis.
At the same time, completely giving up eggs due to their cholesterol content is not advisable. According to the recommendations of the American Heart Association, healthy people can include one egg per day in their diet.
The specialist emphasized that cardiovascular risks are influenced not only by the amount of cholesterol in individual products but also by overall saturated fat intake, dietary balance, body weight, and blood cholesterol levels.
In addition, the gastroenterologist debunked the widespread belief that eggs guarantee a feeling of fullness for several hours. According to him, the duration of satiety depends on portion size, protein and fiber content, caloric value of the food, and individual appetite characteristics.
