Prediction of the Japanese Vanga about judgment day caused worldwide panic

Japanese artist and dreamer Ryo Tatsuki, nicknamed the "New Vanga," has once again attracted public attention after an updated edition of her book, which mentions a possible catastrophe in Japan on July 5, 2025. Despite the lack of details, the prophecy quickly spread on social media and caused a wave of anxiety.
According to The Daily Jagran, the prediction has caused serious concern both in Japan and beyond its borders. Social media users are actively discussing possible scenarios, and some tourists have already begun canceling trips. Although Tatsuki does not specify the nature of the alleged event, her previous forecasts, including the COVID-19 pandemic and the Tohoku earthquake, have strengthened her reputation among prophecy supporters.
Who is Ryo Tatsuki?
Ryo Tatsuki is known for her prophetic works based on dreams and presented in manga format. She claimed that back in 2021, she recorded a vision in which some destructive event would occur in Japan on July 5, 2025. Over time, her books have acquired cult status, and Tatsuki herself has gained numerous followers.
Impact on tourism and calls for calm
The economic consequences are already being felt. According to Bloomberg Intelligence, the number of airline and hotel bookings in Japan has dropped sharply. For example, from Hong Kong the decline was over 50%, and from Southeast Asian countries - up to 83%. This is particularly concerning against the backdrop of the country's attempts to restore the tourism industry after the pandemic.
Amid growing panic, authorities are calling for calm. The governor of Miyagi Prefecture, Yoshihiro Murai, stated: "There is no reason for concern. People are not leaving Japan. I hope rumors will not prevent tourists from continuing to visit our country."
