In the summer months, high temperatures contribute to faster bacterial growth in food products. This means that improperly stored products can cause serious poisoning within 24 hours.
BAKU.WS presents products whose composition changes if they are stored for more than 1 day during the summer period:
1. Cooked rice and pasta
A bacterium called Bacillus cereus can develop in them. This bacterium does not die completely even when heated. Rice and pasta should not be consumed after 1 day of storage.
2. Salads with mayonnaise
Mayonnaise spoils quickly in hot weather. Salads stored in the open air pose a serious risk of poisoning after just 12-24 hours.
3. Dairy products (yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese)
These products can become dangerous to consume if they are left open for more than 24 hours, even when stored in the refrigerator.
4. Cooked meat and chicken dishes
In summer, bacteria multiply quickly in meat products. Even when stored in the refrigerator, they should not be consumed the next day without thorough reheating.
5. Seafood (fish, mussels, etc.)
