A way to protect your smartphone in the heat has been named

A Russian expert explained how to protect a smartphone from overheating in hot weather.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to RIA Novosti, Natalia Golitsyna, head of the telephony department at the MTS retail network, recommended not leaving the gadget under direct sunlight or in a car interior, where the temperature can quickly rise to critical levels.

According to the specialist, in hot weather it is better to use the smartphone in the shade and, if possible, avoid prolonged gaming, video recording, and other resource-intensive tasks outdoors. If the device has become significantly heated, it is worth temporarily removing the thick case to improve natural cooling.

The expert also warned that rapidly cooling the phone in a refrigerator or under cold water is not advisable: due to the temperature difference, condensation may form inside the housing, which can damage the electronics. In case of overheating, it is safer to disconnect the smartphone from charging, place it in a cool shaded spot, and let it cool down naturally.

Golitsyna noted that hot weather itself does not make smartphone use dangerous, but under such conditions the device requires more careful handling. Following simple recommendations will help maintain the gadget's performance and extend the battery's lifespan.
