Emin Mahmudov became the most prolific player of the Azerbaijan national team, scoring his 15th goal for the national team and making history.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the midfielder broke the 21-year-old record of former striker Gurban Gurbanov, who scored 14 goals in 68 matches for the national team between 1992 and 2005.
Gurbanov scored his last goal in 2004 in a friendly match against Latvia (2:2). Mahmudov reached the mark of 15 goals in his 56th game for the national team, which he has represented since 2016.
