Aykhan Mirzazade became European champion

Azerbaijani judoka Aykhan Mirzazade won a gold medal at the Youth European Championship being held in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro.

In the under-60 kg weight category, the athlete defeated his French opponent Lucien Tixier in the final and took first place on the podium.

It should be noted that Azerbaijan is represented by 14 judokas (9 boys and 5 girls) in 10 weight categories at the continental championship.

Today, Magomed Musayev (66 kg) will compete for gold, and Khadija Gadashova (57 kg) will compete for bronze.
