Geomagnetic storm expected on February 18
According to the Nasreddin Tusi Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory, a G1 (weak) level geomagnetic storm may occur on February 18, reports Baku.ws
The possible storm will be caused by high-speed streams from a negative polarity coronal hole, as well as coronal mass ejections (CMEs) recorded on February 15. Scientists do not rule out that these phenomena will provoke disturbances in Earth's magnetosphere.
