Ministry of Health made an important address to the population

Some beauty salons in Azerbaijan have expanded their range of services, offering clients not only hair and nail care, but also various cosmetology procedures.

Social media increasingly features advertisements for skin cleansing and peeling, mesotherapy using vitamin and mineral cocktails, laser hair removal, and other similar services.

However, according to the Center for Analytical Expertise at the Ministry of Health, such procedures should be performed exclusively in medical institutions, as they fall under the sanitary and epidemiological standards applicable in healthcare. Performing medical cosmetology services in salons without an appropriate license is considered a violation of the law.

"Such cases are considered as private medical practice without a license and entail administrative liability in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offenses. After the completion of inspections, all materials are transferred to the appropriate authorities," the department reported.
