Ministry: 15 restaurants and banquet halls in Baku pollute the air

Employees of the Eleventh Regional Department of Ecology and Natural Resources together with the Environmental Pollution Monitoring Group conducted regular inspections at public catering facilities and restaurants in Baku.

As the press secretary of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Irada Ibragimova told the Oxu.Az information portal, during monitoring and measurement work, it was established that the amount of emissions into the atmosphere from banquet halls and restaurants Neolit City, Sapfir, Great Events Hall, Orion, Movida Plaza, Afrodita, Bibi, Venesiya, Qəbələ, Ada Təpə, Maxara, Quzu Qabırğası, Xan Qızı, Səhər Mehi and Manqalüstü, operating in Baku, exceeds the established norms.

"Protocols have been drawn up against the responsible representatives of these facilities, and appropriate measures are being taken to impose a fine of two thousand five hundred manats on each," added Irada Ibragimova.

The press secretary urged owners of public catering facilities and restaurants to ensure that the technical indicators of treatment facilities at their sites comply with established environmental standards and to prevent air pollution.
