In Baku, a wife stabbed her husband 9 times because of his correspondence with another woman

In Baku, 27-year-old Ainur Zarbalieva stabbed her husband, Sakit Zarbaliev, after discovering his correspondence with another woman.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Oxu.Az, the incident occurred in an apartment on Chobanzade Street in the Nizami district of the capital.
The couple married in 2015. They had no children together, but Ainur had two children from her first marriage, and Sakit had three from his previous wife. Additionally, after the death of Sakit's brother's wife, two more children were being raised in their family. The man was involved in real estate buying and selling and, as it turned out, had started a relationship with another woman. After finding their correspondence in his phone, Ainur caused a scene, after which conflicts in the family began to recur.
On the day of the incident, the couple argued again. Returning home from work in the evening, Sakit asked his wife to make tea, to which she replied: "Go to the woman you're texting, let her serve you tea." After another argument, the man went to the bedroom. A few hours later, still in a state of anger, Ainur took a knife from the kitchen, entered the bedroom, and thinking her husband was asleep, stabbed him nine times in the heart, throat, and neck area.
Believing her husband was dead, the woman left the apartment and sat on the stairs. However, Sakit, though severely wounded, came out to her, asking for water and a mobile phone. Ainur gave him water and the phone, after which he called an ambulance. The man was taken to the hospital, where doctors performed surgery and saved his life.
Police officers detained the suspect, a criminal case was opened against her, and the court chose detention as a preventive measure. During the proceedings at the Baku Court for Serious Crimes, it was revealed that the spouses had reconciled.
By court decision, Ainur Zarbalieva was sentenced to 11 years and 3 months of imprisonment.
