In Azerbaijan, popular oil turned out to be fake

As part of control measures conducted by the Food Safety Agency employees, laboratory tests of spreadable and solid fat samples revealed inconsistencies in two products from two manufacturers.
According to information provided by AQTA to the BAKU.WS portal, it was also established that vegetable spreads were packaged in cellophane, creating the impression of homemade butter, which misled consumers.
In connection with the identified facts, necessary measures were taken in accordance with legislation: manufacturers were held administratively liable, a decision was made to ban the sale of non-compliant products and recall them from retail outlets.
Batches of products in which inconsistencies were found:
№ | Product name | Product manufacturer | Product batch/production and expiration dates | Detected non-compliance |
1 | "Krestyanskoye" branded spread butter | Individual Ganiyev Farhad Allahshukur oglu | 04.03.2025 - 13.03.2025 | Coliform bacteria, mold and yeast fungi |
2 | Vegetable-based spread butter (attempted to be sold as churned butter) | Individual Bagirov Rufat Ramiz oglu | 07.03.2025 - 21.03.2025 | Coliform bacteria, mold and yeast fungi |
It should be noted that the detection of coliform bacteria, as well as mold and yeast fungi in the composition is regarded as microbiological contamination of these products. Consumption of such products is considered dangerous for the human body.
