42 plastic surgeons were issued permits to practice

For the purpose of a comprehensive review of the legal basis for the professional activities of plastic surgeons practicing medical activities in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan (RA), a Special Inspection Commission has been established. The commission includes authorized representatives of the Ministry of Health, the General Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Ministry of Science and Education of the RA.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Health.

"The aforementioned medical experts were invited to the meetings of the Special Inspection Commission, where a thorough verification of the documents they submitted was conducted. Video and audio recordings of the meetings were made with prior notification, as well as minutes were kept for each meeting. A total of 11 commission meetings were held.

"The list of specialist doctors who have the right to practice medicine in the specialty of 'Plastic Surgery' in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, whose documents have been confirmed by the relevant decisions of the Special Inspection Commission, has been compiled and is available at this link.

The list provided at the indicated link reflects information as of April 17, 2025. The aforementioned list will be regularly updated as new legal foundations are established that allow medical workers to practice medical activities in the specialty of "Plastic Surgery".

In addition, by the relevant order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a "List of operations in the field of plastic surgery, the performance of which is permitted to representatives of other professional surgical specialties in accordance with educational programs of higher specialized medical education" has been approved.
