The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan condemned the attack by a group of protesters on the UAE embassy in the Syrian capital Damascus.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the foreign policy agency wrote about this on its official page on "X".
"Such acts of violence against diplomatic missions are unacceptable and represent a clear violation of international law, including the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which guarantees the safety and protection of diplomatic personnel and premises," the statement said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan noted that it welcomes the statement of the Syrian authorities and their commitment to take all necessary measures to ensure that those responsible are held accountable in accordance with the law.
