Head of Azerbaijan's SSS met with Georgian counterpart in Tbilisi
The head of the State Security Service of Georgia, Mamuka Mdinaradze, received his Azerbaijani counterpart Ali Nagiyev, who is on an official visit to Tbilisi.
As Report informs, this was announced by the press service of the State Security Service of Georgia.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the main directions of the strategic partnership between the two countries and future initiatives aimed at further deepening ties in the security sphere.
"Emphasis was placed on intensifying cooperation between the agencies in terms of information and experience exchange. It was noted that cooperation between the security services of the two countries contributes to strengthening relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan and makes a significant contribution to strengthening peace and stability in the region. In addition, current processes and challenges in the region were discussed during the conversation," the statement says.
It is noted that after the meeting, Mamuka Mdinaradze and Ali Nagiyev laid wreaths at the monument to the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev and at the Memorial to heroes who fell in battles for the territorial integrity of Georgia.
