Haber Global: A significant event took place in Ankara in connection with the anniversary of the beginning of the second Karabakh war

September 27 is a day of pride for the Turkic world. It is the fifth anniversary of the Patriotic War, when we respectfully remember our fallen heroes - martyrs. Five years have passed since the beginning of the war for the liberation of Karabakh and adjacent territories, which were under Armenian occupation for almost 30 years.

According to the information, a memorial ceremony was held in Ankara as part of the Remembrance Day on September 27.
"Five years ago, the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan launched a rapid counter-offensive operation in response to Armenia's occupation policy and military provocations on the front line. September 27 is considered a historic turning point that changed the course of the Karabakh War.
The war lasted 44 days, Azerbaijan lost 2,908 martyrs," the report notes.
The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Ankara organized a commemorative program on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the beginning of the second Karabakh War in the Turkish capital. Aygün Attar, Professor and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkey-Azerbaijan Friendship Foundation, also spoke at the event.
"To eternally remember the martyrs is our human duty," she emphasized.
The memorial event concluded with a viewing of a photo exhibition dedicated to the second Karabakh War.
