Full support for Azerbaijan: world leaders condemned Iran's attack on Nakhchivan

President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan called President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The head of the Turkish state condemned the drone attack by Iran on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and expressed support for the brotherly people of Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani leader thanked his Turkish counterpart for the phone call and his position.

President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also called President Ilham Aliyev. He once again expressed gratitude for the support provided by the head of our state to the UAE during Iran's missile attacks on his country, and for the position condemning that attack. During the phone conversation, an exchange of views on issues of mutual interest was held.

The President of Latvia expressed solidarity with the Azerbaijani state and people in connection with the incident that occurred, and wished a speedy recovery to those injured during the attack. During the phone conversation with President Ilham Aliyev, Edgars Rinkēvičs stated that he firmly condemns Iran's attack on the territory of Azerbaijan. The head of our state thanked the President of Latvia for the phone call and the position shown. During the conversation, the heads of state exchanged views on the current state of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Latvia, future contacts, and prospects for cooperation.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev also called President Ilham Aliyev. The head of state firmly condemned Iran's drone attack on Nakhchivan, expressed Uzbekistan's full support for our country, and emphasized that his country always stands by Azerbaijan. President Ilham Aliyev informed his counterpart about the incident, noting that the situation is currently fully under control. During the conversation, prospects for the further development of friendly, brotherly, and allied relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan were discussed.
