Fake information has been spread on behalf of the First Vice-Premier of Azerbaijan

A statement that does not reflect reality, prepared using deepfake technology, has been distributed on several social media accounts on behalf of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Yagub Eyyubov, claiming that Azerbaijan is allegedly pursuing an aggressive policy towards Russia.
This was stated in a message from the Media Development Agency of Azerbaijan (MEDİA).
According to the statement, fake videos created using artificial intelligence and aimed at polluting the information environment are a gross example of manipulation designed to mislead the public by certain circles.
"We urge society to trust information only from official sources. Information reflecting the official position of the state is available in official sources, as well as in the country's news agencies and other professional media entities.
We call on citizens of Azerbaijan, journalists, and public activists to always show principle in such cases, as well as to be vigilant in conditions where large-scale campaigns based on fake information are being spread," the MEDİA statement emphasizes.
