At the international conference "Decolonization: A Quiet Revolution," held by the Baku Initiative Group (BIG) at the UN headquarters in New York, USA, a final document was adopted.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, it emphasizes that colonialism has inflicted irreparable deep wounds on a global scale, and strongly condemns the continued refusal of colonial powers to take responsibility for their historical crimes.

The statement notes that states such as France and the Netherlands have not abandoned their colonial policies even today and continue to enslave Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana, Réunion, Mayotte, Bonaire, Saint Martin, and other territories.

It is indicated that colonial crimes are crimes against humanity. The statement declares that colonial regimes should pay worthy compensation for the lawlessness they committed. Otherwise, it is proposed to impose international sanctions against them.

The document expresses support for the activities of non-governmental organizations such as the Baku Initiative Group aimed at exposing colonialism within the framework of international law. The resolution against BIG's activities, adopted on March 28 by the National Assembly of France, is condemned.

Participants expressed gratitude to BIG for organizing the conference.
