Ilham Aliyev appointed Azerbaijan's ambassadors to Switzerland and the Netherlands
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has appointed new ambassadors to Switzerland and the Netherlands.
As reported by AZERTAJ, the head of state signed the relevant decrees.
According to the decrees, Vagif Ismail oglu Sadygov has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Switzerland, and Anar Keykavus oglu Ajamov has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Netherlands.
It should be noted that Vagif Sadygov previously held the position of Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Belgium, Luxembourg, and Head of the Mission of Azerbaijan to the European Union. He was recalled from these positions on August 10, 2026, in accordance with a decree by President Ilham Aliyev.
