Samed Seyidov and the head of the OSCE PA discussed peace and new realities in the South Caucasus
Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee on International Relations and Inter-Parliamentary Links Samad Seyidov discussed the peace process between Baku and Yerevan with the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Pere Joan Pons Sampietro.
This was reported by the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis.
During the meeting, Seyidov raised issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the OSCE PA, strengthening peace and an atmosphere of trust in the region, and shared views on the activities of the OSCE PA in the region. He also noted that Azerbaijan is an exemplary country in promoting peace and stability in the region.
Sampietro emphasized that Azerbaijan has created a rare model in its relations with Armenia and in establishing peace in the region.
Participants in the meeting, including OSCE PA Vice-President and OSCE PA Special Representative for the South Caucasus Luís Graça, Head of the Milli Majlis delegation to the OSCE PA Gaya Mammadov, and Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Austria Kamil Khasiyev, shared their views on the emerging new geopolitical realities in the South Caucasus, Azerbaijan's cooperation with the organization, and the importance of parliamentary diplomacy.
