Aleksandar Vučić congratulated Ilham Aliyev

President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

As reported by AZERTAC, the message states:

"Dear Mr. President, dear Friend!

On behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Serbia and on my own behalf, I cordially congratulate you on the Independence Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan and extend my best wishes for the continued well-being, progress, and prosperity of your country and its citizens.

I take this opportunity to express great satisfaction with the pace of development of relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, characterized by mutual trust, solidarity, and strategic partnership.

With particular pleasure and gratitude, I recall our meeting during my participation in the 13th session of the World Urban Forum in Baku. The gracious hospitality extended to me and the productive discussions once again confirmed our joint efforts to further expand cooperation in such important areas as energy, infrastructure, investment, and overall economic ties.

At the same time, I express sincere gratitude to the Republic of Azerbaijan for its principled and consistent support in defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia, which we highly value as a confirmation of mutual understanding between our countries and respect for international law. Serbia remains fully committed to respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
