The meeting of the defense ministers of Azerbaijan and Georgia took place

The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, who is on a visit to Georgia, met with the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of that country, Irakli Chikovani.

BAKU.WS was informed about this by the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.

In accordance with the protocol, during the solemn welcoming ceremony, the defense ministers walked past the honor guard formation. The national anthems of both countries were performed.

Colonel General Zakir Hasanov noted that relations between our countries in the military field continue to develop, as well as in other areas.

At the meeting, which was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia, Faig Guliyev, the parties discussed in detail new prospects for cooperation in the military, military-technical, and military-educational spheres, as well as other issues of mutual interest.

As part of the visit, the delegation visited the Heroes Memorial and the monument to the national leader of the Azerbaijani people in the Heydar Aliyev Culture and Recreation Park in Tbilisi, laying wreaths at the monuments.
