Mother of the National Hero: Pandjali is like a real brother to Leyla khanum and Arzu khanum
I've always dreamed of becoming a shahid and dying for my homeland, so that at my funeral my coffin would be covered with the tricolor flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan with a crescent and star.
Panjali Teymurov expressed this wish on his wedding day. Figuratively speaking, it was a secret agreement made with fate. And this agreement was fulfilled with honor and pride - in April 2016, Panjali Teymurov became a shahid.
By the decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated November 7, 2025, Panjali Teymurov was awarded the title of National Hero of Azerbaijan.
The shahid's mother, Vahima Agayeva, said that after her son's death, the family was constantly under state attention. She noted that after the awarding of the National Hero title, their home was visited by the daughters of the President of Azerbaijan, Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva, as well as the presidential aide Anar Alakbarov.
The mother of the National Hero shared her impressions in an interview with Real TV: "It felt as if they had grown up here, as if Panjali was their own brother. They visited the museum, looked at the photographs, and took interest in Panjali's life."
