In Azerbaijan, the transition to a "paperless government" will be completed in 2028
Full digitalization of internal management processes in government agencies and the transition to a "paperless government" format will be completed in Azerbaijan in July 2028.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this is stipulated in the "Action Plan for Accelerating Digital Development in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2028," approved by President Ilham Aliyev.
The document provides for the analysis of at least 80% of internal business processes of government institutions, including finance, human resources, and procurement, as well as the approval of unified technical standards for resource planning systems and electronic document management.
Funding for the implementation of the plan will be provided from the state budget and other sources stipulated by legislation.
