Azerbaijan simplifies visa procedures for Formula 1 guests

Azerbaijan is simplifying visa procedures for foreigners arriving in the country for the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the corresponding decree was signed by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

According to the document, from August 25 to September 30, foreigners and stateless persons will be able to obtain a visa at Azerbaijan's international airports upon presenting one of the following documents: an accreditation card from Formula One Management or the International Automobile Federation, an accreditation card from Baku City Circuit, or a race ticket (including an electronic one).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been tasked with informing international organizations and airlines about the new rules, as well as posting information about the simplified procedure and the possibility of obtaining an electronic visa through the ASAN Viza system on its resources and at diplomatic missions abroad.

The State Migration Service has been instructed to notify airlines operating flights to Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be held in Baku on September 25-27.
