AZAL regarding the directives from Airbus: Currently the entire fleet is operating in normal mode
Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) commented on possible delays of Airbus aircraft.
This was reported in response to a Request from Report to AZAL.
According to the information, the airline promptly conducted a technical inspection of its fleet after receiving official directives from Airbus. As a result of the inspection, three aircraft were identified for which the manufacturer recommended corrective actions. In accordance with these recommendations, the software of these aircraft was reverted to the previous stable version.
It is noted that Airbus sent out these directives after identifying malfunctions in the control system of the A320 family aircraft.
"As reported by the manufacturer, intense solar radiation may cause distortion of data used for flight control, which prompted an unscheduled software update and corresponding instructions were sent to aircraft operators.
All technical issues on AZAL's side were resolved in a timely manner. Currently, the entire fleet is operating in normal mode.
AZAL always prioritizes flight safety. The airline's flights fully comply with the manufacturer's requirements and international civil aviation standards," the information states.
