9 years have passed since the killing of one-and-a-half-year-old Zahra and her grandmother by the armed forces of Armenia

Today marks the remembrance day of Zahra Guliyeva, who became a victim of Armenian provocation in July 2017.

Zahra Guliyeva was born in 2016 in the settlement of Alkhanli, Fizuli district.

On July 4, 2017, at approximately 20:40, the Armed Forces of Armenia shelled the settlement of Alkhanli in Fizuli district using 82-mm and 120-mm mortars and mounted grenade launchers.

As a result of this provocation by Armenia, 14-month-old Zahra Guliyeva and her grandmother Sahiba Allahverdiyeva, born in 1967, were killed. At the same time, Sarvinaz Guliyeva was wounded in the shelling and was taken to a hospital where she underwent surgery.

After Zahra's death, a large-scale campaign "I am Zahra" was launched on social media, and books were written about her tragedy.
