SOCAR discussed cooperation prospects with "Uzbekneftegaz"

Chairman of the Board of JSC "Uzbekneftegaz" Abdugani Sanginov held a meeting with the leadership of SOCAR subsidiaries - SOCAR Trading and SOCAR Downstream Management.

This was reported by the press service of JSC "Uzbekneftegaz".

During the meeting, the parties emphasized that the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, supported by Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Ilham Aliyev, has been consistently strengthening in recent years. It was noted that the active political dialogue at the highest level forms a solid foundation for expanding cooperation, including in the oil and gas sector.

SOCAR representatives expressed interest in deepening cooperation with "Uzbekneftegaz" in terms of improving the operational efficiency of the Bukhara Oil Refinery. In particular, proposals were presented on the implementation of modern operational solutions, digitalization of production processes, and improving the energy efficiency of the enterprise.

Following the negotiations, the parties agreed to continue practical cooperation. An agreement was also reached on organizing a visit by a working group from the Azerbaijani side to the enterprise to conduct a technical audit and prepare specific proposals for further steps of cooperation.
