Restrictions on the Azerbaijani-Iranian border have been fully lifted
Following Iran's drone strikes on Nakhchivan on March 5, the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan imposed a ban on truck traffic across the Azerbaijani-Iranian state border. The next day, certain relaxations were introduced to this resolution, and yesterday all restrictions were fully lifted.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated in a video report by Baku TV.
It is noted that during the day, about 100 trucks passed through the customs checkpoint without obstruction.
Drivers also commented on the situation. One of them said he had waited approximately 5-10 days to get through, but ultimately crossed the border without any issues.
"They kept us at customs for two and a half days. Before that, we were waiting at the truck parking area. In total, we spent six days here and couldn't cross the border. On the other side, there are many vehicles waiting in line. I thank Azerbaijan for the conditions provided. I am heading to Russia, to Samara," another driver noted.
