Qatar Has Suggested Oil Prices Could Rise to $150 Per Barrel
Oil could rise to $150 (over 11 thousand rubles) per barrel, and gas could reach $40 (over 3 thousand rubles) due to the situation in the Middle East.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by Qatar's Energy Minister Saad al-Kaabi in an interview with The Financial Times.
According to the minister, this could happen within two to three weeks if tankers are unable to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
On March 6, the price of Brent crude oil futures for May delivery on the London ICE exchange exceeded $89 per barrel for the first time since April 29, 2024. WTI crude oil futures for April delivery stood at $85.61 per barrel (+5.68%).
