Zelensky awarded Hakan Fidan the Order of Merit, 2nd class

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Hakan Fidan.

Zelensky wrote about this on his Telegram channel.

"I met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Hakan Fidan and awarded him the Order of Merit, 2nd class. I am grateful to Turkey and the minister personally for the work towards bringing peace closer (in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict - ed.)," the post reads.

According to the Ukrainian leader, the parties discussed the current situation in the diplomatic process and steps that could intensify efforts to achieve peace.

"I also informed the minister about the situation on the battlefield, and he shared his diplomatic contacts at various levels. Of course, we also discussed bilateral relations and the implementation of the free trade agreement between Ukraine and Turkey. We expect that trade turnover between our states will only increase. I am grateful for the visit and the willingness to cooperate and bring peace closer," Zelensky summarized.
