Zelensky announced a ceasefire due to specific US measures

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Kyiv has information that the United States is on the verge of taking concrete measures to establish a ceasefire.

According to Zelensky, the first and most important step should be a complete cessation of hostilities. Only after that, he emphasized, Ukraine is ready to consider the possibility of negotiations with Russia - in any format.

"Americans should increase pressure on Russia," the president noted, adding that without real changes from the Kremlin, it's too early to talk about diplomacy.

He spoke harshly about Russian military:
"For starters, they would at least stop being murderers. Right now they are simply devils," Zelensky stated.

In addition, the president reported that a new energy agreement between Ukraine and the United States regarding fossil resources is in the final stage of preparation. According to him, specific proposals will be presented as early as next week.
